The Nether Providence Democratic Committee consists of registered Democrats who live in Nether Providence Township. We work to share information about local, county and state politics and opportunities to engage in the political process.
The committee is governed by the bylaws adopted by the Delaware County Democratic Committee.
Who are we?
Committee Members
Much of our work is spearheaded by elected, at-large and ex-officio committee members. All registered Democrats are invited to join us at our meetings, events and activities.
Elected Committee Members - Every four years, our committee reorganizes and elects our members in the spring election. Two members are elected from each of the 11 precincts in Nether Providence and serve 4 year terms.
At-Large Members - The municipal chair, in consultation with the members of the committee, appoints at-large members to serve 4 year terms. We are allotted two members per precinct, for a total of 22. At-large members must be registered Democrats in Nether Providence.
Ex-officio Members - These are elected Democrats who live in Nether Providence, exclusive of school board members and judges.
Our work
We work to support/engage in our community and elect Democrats to all levels of government by:
Connecting with our neighbors and building a stronger local Democratic community
Raising funds to communicate with and reach voters
Sharing information about elections, candidates, and voting
Staffing polling locations and supporting voters on Election Day
